Kissan Vikas Chamber Punjab is an autonomous body, exclusively dedicated to the cause of farming community and to provide affirmative say of peasantry in the policies and programmes related to agriculture and allied activities so as to improve their lot.
Some eminent academicians and progressive farmers who have excelled in their specific fields came together and formed a platform under the able guidance of late Dr. G. S. Kalkat (Padam Bhushan), the then Chairman, Punjab State Farmers Commission. He was founder Patron of KVCP and played a pivotal role to take up the issue with State Government and the State Government very kindly agreed to provide land and financial support for this organisation.
This organisation is a registered body under the Societies Registration Act,1860 as amended by Punjab Amendment Act, 1957. It has its own office at Kalkat Bhawan, Block-C, Aerocity, Airport Road, SAS Nagar which was inaugurated on 15.12.2016 by the then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Punjab.
This organisation is working to provide an interactive platform to the farmers so as to enable them to take up their issues at an appropriate level for their quick resolution.
